Came for drinks and lunch / snacks after seeing how cozy the place looked from the outside. Amazing service and quality of food. We tried the scallops, shrimp croquettes. They were amazing. Portions however are super small as you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. The dessert of the day is also worth a go. It was poached peach with fresh home made creamy lemon yoghourt, ice cream and lemon cello jello. The server was so pleasant and friendly. Worth a visit if you are in Alkmaar for a day trip. A 1 min walk from the kaasmarkt on Fridays during summer 😃

I chose this place for dinner because it looked lovely and the experience was rewarding. The service was attentive, the wine was great and the food was excellent, I couldn't ask for more. Strongly recommended.

Nice restaurant, delicious meals, professional service. Price/value rate is not the best. The cuisine is good but not outstanding. Compared to this, the prices are high. 200 € for 3 meals for 3 persons.

We stayed in the hotel, which is above the restaurant and is managed by the same people. They offer 7 beautiful rooms on 2 floors with daily housekeeping. Each floor has a coffee machine (Illy) and tea kettle in the hallway. The rooms are all different and beautifully decorated in a very bright an natural style. The beds are comfortable, all rooms have ac and 1 has a terrace. Bear in mind that most rooms have fully open bathrooms (including WC) to the room, should this be an issue for you. If I had 1 thing to point out for improvement would be that the shower tiles/joints vous be cleaned more rigorously (bleach) as the seem to be slightly moldy and general dusting / hoovering could also be done more often. Otherwise all is clean and nice. As these are minor points I am still giving this place 5* as the price vs quality is excellent!

This was the best Restaurant and B&B experience I had so far. The room was super comfy and everything was very functional. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was a blast. The food was awesome and the service super friendly, charming and very good educated about food and wine. When I am in Alkmaar again I will definitely stay and eat here. Love this place

We did the 5 courses dinner along with the wine pairing and were very satisfied. The sommelier was knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. The scallops with the beurre blanc is a dish I will remember for a long time!
